This followed the confirmation of nominees by the State House of Assembly at an emergency plenary held on Thursday. Chairman, Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Honourable Bolaji Badmus, who rendered the report of the screening exercise, said all the nominees were found worthy for appointment as chairmen.
The House, presided over by the Speaker, Honourable Micheal Adeyemo, subsequently recommended the 33 nominees for confirmation by Ajimobi for a four- month period.
Adeyemo asserted belief that the state governor would set in motion the process of conducting local government election before the expiration of the four-month tenure of the caretaker chairmen.
